This consortium is formed by leading companies in the Spanish automotive sector (Ficosa, Cap Gemini Engineering, Datik, Hi Iberia, Inelmatic, Nommon, Orim).<\/p><p>Mainly, InPercept sets a number of ambitious goals related to intelligent sensing for vehicles and its application:<\/p><ul><li>Obtain new external sensing systems to improve the detection of environmental elements in demanding conditions.<\/li><li>Implement an in-vehicle sensing system for driver and occupant monitoring, as well as in-vehicle and external HMI systems.<\/li><li>Develop advanced positioning and connectivity technologies for cooperative sensing and driving.<\/li><li>Deploy AI-based algorithms and models for vehicle decision-making.<\/li><li>Create data management and new ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) functions to improve road safety.<\/li><li>Demonstrate the positive impact of this developments in complex Smart Cities and Fleet Management use cases<\/li><\/ul><p>Nextium by Idneo\u2019s role within InPercept focuses on advanced in-vehicle sensing technologies and vehicular communications.<\/p><p>Among the in-vehicle sensing technologies is the implementation of a monitoring system for the cabin, the driver and occupants. This technological solution is based on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nextium.com\/in-cabin-sensing-biometrics\/\">radar systems<\/a>\u00a0and makes it possible to monitor the driver\u2019s condition and fitness to drive. The system collects vital patterns (breathing and heart rate), as well as other cognitive information, such as drowsiness levels.<\/p><p>Moreover, regarding vehicle connectivity,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nextium.com\/connected-solutions\/\">\u00a05G C-V2X<\/a>\u00a0technology will be made available for vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure communication. The units provided will be equipped with advanced cybersecurity techniques and precise geolocation.
